The Adaptive Motorsports Project was established to get Veterans and people with disabilities involved in motorsports with a focus on motorcycles. In his attempt to ride again the founder realized there was a real need for an organization to get fellow disabled riders back up on two wheels so he set up an organization.
After a hit and run accident left founder Kris Reckner paralyzed from the chest down. He was still committed to ride again, and found others who felt the same. He then realized the real need there was for a nonprofit organization to give fellow disabled veterans and people with disabilities the opportunity to experience riding on two wheels, so he founded The Adaptive Motorsports Project.
