The beginning of the thread maybe, before it got sidetracked (short attention span??)

Clannish is just responding to my earlier remarks about being a bit far away to attend a meeting, and my anticipated ride to Americade.

Being out in the Sturbridge area that's a bit away from me, but I'll see about getting there for the March meeting. Let me know about Americade as we get closer too. I know a few people who "might" be going that I "might" ride up with, but nothing definite. It'd be nice to ride up there with another...

Ok, don't everyone jump in at once!! Only been there once and didn't see nearly enough, but I'll try a couple..... Holiday Inn - large parking lot and restaurant inside Grandma's Back Porch - small, but good food and nice atmosphere I'm going to be taking a ride to Lake George after the 1st t...

Doesn't sound complicated to me, and actually sounds like a great idea! My only addition would be to ask that it be some place along Canada St - many of us newbies might not be ready for the driveway to RBR.

Jack, how common are the VW trikes in your area? I live in Central MA and don't see many trikes around at all, much less VW ones. I've seen a few of the GW-type conversions - not many, but a few more every year - but I've only seen one VW-type. I'm just curious if they're more common in your area (t...

Good for you!! I'm sure you'll be thrilled with it - once I'm riding, I totally forget I have 3 wheels and not 2 (until I have to stop, or hit gravel, etc. ). What conversion are you going with? I have my eye on a HD with a Champion conversion that someone I know is selling - hope she still h...

Can I just mention here - any sort of riding competition like WC mentioned should also be broken down by engine class. For example, I have a Suzuki trike with an 800cc engine - there's no way I could compete with a GoldWing 1800 or a HD with a 1300cc (not that I'm experienced enough to compete - jus...

Hi Mary, and welcome! I have an 07 Suzuki Boulevard trike - white & silver! Pretty, aren't they?? :) I'm not sure of the days yet, but I'll be at Americade in June - maybe we'll have a chance to meet up!! Beautiful area, lots of nice people, FOOD all over the place.... couldn't ask for more! ...

Joanne, the C50 isn't a bad trike by any means - I didn't mean to give you that impression!! For me, it was a great starter trike to gain experience and decide that I DO want to keep triking (I wasn't sure at the time if I was going to stay with a trike or make the move to 2 wheels). I have no troub...

Lady, before you make a decision you really should test ride some other trikes first. Lehman is a good product (I have one) but not the only one, and I'm told the independent suspension trikes feel different than Lehman's solid suspension....seems to be mostly a preference thing, which is why you'd ...

TJ, I can tell you if you go to a trike you won't be sorry!! You really do forget it has 3 wheels most of the time, but the security is absolutely wonderful!! I'm not afraid to hit gravel or sand, and I don't have to worry about tipping at a stop, etc. Funny thing is, when I first started riding my ...

What would be involved with having a host hotel, for those of us that are new to Americade? I went last year for the first time and stayed at a hotel further up Rt 9 with one doozy of a "driveway". Next year I'd like to stay closer to the "main" attractions - preferably someplace that won't break th...

On this statement I'll have to let Mac answer it as this bike is strickly HD and nowhere does it say Lehman - I 'think' they've changed the way we all thought it would be... I have a friend who just ordered one, and the dealer told her it was a Harley with a Lehman kit, "factory conversion". You sh...
